WWOZ 90.7 FM seeks a proven and effective leader/problem solver to manage multiple station projects. WWOZ is a vibrant, nationally recognized radio station, whose mission is to promote, preserve, and protect the unique music and culture of New Orleans.

This unique and important position will require a wide-ranging skill set from business development, project management, sales and marketing, to public media production and data analysis. Proven history of successful project management achieving goals and objectives required. Responsible for maintaining and improving business processes and managing interdepartmental initiatives. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills a must. Proficiency in IT management, non-profit experience, and effectively working with volunteers highly preferred.

DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

WYES is seeking a Digital & Social Media Specialist. WYES wants to tell the stories that matter. The Digital & Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the successful project management, development, implementation, and tracking of digital initiatives including website campaigns, SEO, online advertising, coordinating and curating the organization’s overall social media communications using multiple social media platforms with significant followings, as well as researching new platforms as they become available.

Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
• Manage daily social media content for a variety of WYES brands — programming, events, outreach and development
• Plan, develop and execute marketing programs and campaigns across all digital channels and social media platforms
• Must ensure all content is engaging and accurate and meets brand standards
• Create ads for print and web
• Assist with photography at events
• Responsible for creating new ways to acquire new followers on social media while engaging existing audiences
• Update and monitor wyes.org and WYES app

Preferred:
• BA or BS
• Solid knowledge of relevant tools: Google Analytics, Doubleclick For Publishers
• Experience managing successful social media campaigns and a solid understanding of social marketing
• Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Frame maker, Premier, After Effect,s HTML/CSS (WordPress)
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Work evenings and weekends when necessary
• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills

Our ideal candidate should have a fondness of public media, be actively engaged in social media and have basic editing skills. The Digital & Social Media Specialist will work with development and other WYES team members, but will report directly to the WYES Vice President of Communications.
