New Orleans celebrates jazz hero’s 107th birth anniversary
Gear up and get ready to celebrate the life and music of New Orleans jazz artist Louis Armstrong at the eighth annual Satchmo SummerFest, July 31 through August 3. This year’s celebration marks the full return of the festival to the Old U.S. Mint, following the completion of 2005 hurricane repairs to the building, which included the replacement of the building’s copper roof.
